Well, Not Quite True: But there are 3 attachments sent in addition to this Newsletter. The first and second attachments is the Agenda for the 1st December 2020/21AGM Meeting at 7.30pm at the Ampleforth Village Hall plus the Accounts for each year. Also, there is the notice and details of the A&DC Annual Club Annual Lunch on Sunday 23rd January 2022 at The Feathers Hotel in Helmsley.The 2020+2021AGM Meeting will be on Wednesday 1st December at 7.30pm at Ampleforth Village Hall – doors open at 7pm. The Agenda is attached and the seat booking instructions are below. Festive drinks and mince pies will be served at the end of the meeting. Also the Accounts for 2020/21 are attached.OUR PRECAUTIONARY COVID-19 MEASURES FOR MEETINGS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICEOnly members are allowed to attend meetings until further notice (Except Presenters).
As we need all the space for seating to enable social distancing there will be no raffle. All attendees are asked to wear a face mask/covering for the entirety of the meeting (Except the presenters).
To ensure social distancing when seated, all members (including Committee members) need to book their seat IN ADVANCE with our Membership Secretary, Pamela Staton by email to or by telephone on 01439 788668 by 12 noon on Tuesday 30th November. Please quote the code DEC1 when booking. Please state whether the members you are booking for are: a single member, a couple or friends who are in a ʻCovid freeʼ bubble who can be seated together. Also, members who telephone and leave a booking request, please also leave your name and telephone number
WE CAN ALLOW MEMBERS ONLY OF THE CLUB TO ATTEND. When our seating maximum has been reached depending on the social distancing spacing required, Pamela will inform members who are unsuccessful in booking for this meeting when seating capacity has been reached– seat bookings will be based on a strictly first come, first served basis.
Please arrive at Ampleforth Village Hall earlier than usual – doors open at 7pm, as we need to seat members according to their booked group bubble needs. Enter by the normal entrance and use the hand sanitiser on entry. Please carry all coats etc with you, as you will be exiting through the side door of the hall – and coats may be needed as windows and some doors will be open for air circulation. Pamela will check you in at the hall door and other members of the Committee will guide you to your seats. At the end of the meeting Committee members will organise your exit from the hall in an orderly Covid safe manner.The Annual A&DGC Club Lunch will be at The Feathers Hotel in Helmsley on Sunday 23rd January 2022 at 1pm. Bookings can be made on the BOOKING FORM attached with this Newsletter. There are 40 places available, on a ʻFirst Come – First Bookedʼ basis.
